Founded by local conservationist and dive pioneer, Dr. Hanny Batuna, now run by his daughter, Angelique, and her husband, Danny Charlton.

This is approx a 2 hour boat ride north from Bangka Island. We can do this trip only during certain months of the year due to weather conditions on open ocean between the islands. I believe this was all shot on a Panasonic GH5 camera but @bugDreamer should be able to confirm. He is the one that shot this wonderful video.

I did this trip back in 2015 and it was fantastic as all three of Murex's sites differ slightly. Having been to Lembeh Resort twice before, I thought the Passport to Paradise trip would make it more interesting and we did stay a bit longer at Lembeh Resort. One common feature between all three destinations is that the staff above and below water are very professional. In 2022 I returned to Bangka with one of my buddies as Bangka was designated a quarantine island and given that Covid was still serious at that point we headed there for some amazing diving. The new bungalows are fabulous, and the staff still as great as before.

Thank you and that's how we prefer it too. There aren't many divers & tourists out there and we try to keep it like that.
@@MurexResorts it's also the overdevelopment that publicity too often attracts. Too many tropical countries have been unable to contain massive resort construction and as a result construction and as a result lost much of their natural beauty and appeal.

Thank you for your kind words and great to hear that you like our video! The underwater part of this video was shot with a Panasonic GH5ii. The drone footage was shot with a DJI Mini 3 and a few overland clips were shot with a Samsung s22 ultra mobile phone. The underwater scenes were lit up with a Big Blue 15000 lumen video light. The video was made by @jacobguymedia , our inhouse photo pro @lembehresort

Is there a "dugong season" there?
No, there is no specific Dugong season. They can be seen all year round. There are several spots where chances are better to spot them but they can show up everywhere. While snorkeling you chances of spotting are often better as while scuba diving.
